Interdisciplinary Artist-Educator
Visual Arts Sector Advisory Committee
Kerri-Lynn Reeves (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, and mother originally from rural Manitoba, where she grew up as a European-Canadian settler on Treaty 2 territory. At the heart of it, her work explores the relationship of the social and the material. With a commitment to blurring the lines between life and art, Reeves earned her Master of Fine Arts from Concordia University in 2016 with her 6-month-old child strapped to her chest. Now a mother of four in a blended family, Reeves continues to explore the confluences of her art making, teaching, and parenting practices. Reeves is an Assistant Professor in Studio Arts at MacEwan University and the Past-President of the Board of Directors of Society of Northern Alberta Print-Artists (SNAP) in Edmonton, AB, ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (Amiskwacîwâskahikan), Treaty 6 Territory.
