Level UP! Evaluation Results Summary

As Balancing Act’s flagship initiative, Level UP! has been instrumental in developing our values and mission in order to move towards a care-centred culture in the arts. Our work is built upon the artists and companies who have long started advocating for better inclusion of parents and caregivers in our industry.

From its inception, we have had 76 Performing Arts Strategy Partners from across the country who created transformative change in various disciplines. Three cohorts of Level UP! Partners have completed pilot projects exploring policies and practices in four distinct strategies: Flexible Working Models, Pathways to Agreement, Care Solutions, and Compassion Fund.

Throughout the three cohorts, Good Roots Consulting facilitated a comprehensive evaluation of the impact of the Level UP! Initiative, not only with the Strategy Partners but also with the artists and arts workers engaged in the pilot projects.
