
Rebecca is a mom, producer, actor, singer and audio describer of multiple ethnicities. She went to school for acting and soon also started creating work, playing with storytelling forms and subversion. She is executive producing Lifting as we Climb a five volume series celebrating amazing women who contributed to Canadian history. This project is also a part of the Balancing Act Level Up! Initiative. As an actor, recently she workshopped roles in Norman Yeung’s Eunuch X Pirate and a new work by Edwige Jean-Pierre titled La Déception m’a ouvert les yeux, she also played an Aunt on The Handmaid’s Tale. Rebecca sings as part of a duo project with musician, SUCCESS LEWIS. She is the founder of SUPERIOR DESCRIPTION SERVICES which provides all types of description services to clients around the world. She is a member of the BLACK WOMEN FILM! CANADA community and has been an active member of TAWC the Toronto ACTRA Women’s Committee for nearly a decade. She is a parent to a precocious 6 year old and runs a regular meet-up for parents and caregivers of BIPOC kids at their school.
